What is category mapping?

When you crosslist to Vinted & Depop, every item needs to be placed in the correct category — things like "Hoodies", "Cargo shorts", "Denim jackets" or "Plain shirts". The right category means more buyers finding your items in search.

Crosslist Assist uses AI to read your listing and automatically select the best Vinted category. But every seller's stock is different — which is why we built fully customisable mapping rules.

  • Any item with "realtree" in the description → automatically set to Khaki + Brown colours
  • Any item with "hoodie" → mapped to the Hoodies category, every time
  • Track jackets → listed as Bomber jackets for maximum search exposure
  • Camo bags → mapped to Satchels & messenger bags, not generic Bags
